Here are a few of the duties you can expect:
Help you to create the type of wedding you want. With that knowledge you'll be able to pick your venue, vendors, color scheme, theme, music, etc.
Help you create a budget sheet and keep track of where your money is going and how much is still owed.
Help keep you on your budget and not blow it!! Suggest vendors that fit your budget and ideas.
Make a wedding planning schedule so that you know what you've done and what still needs to be done.
In most cases a coordinator can save you money because of their connection in the industry.
Take care of any emergencies that arise. Create a wedding day schedule.
I charge a package price. I can also customize packages to fit any and all budgets for the bride I am working with, if that is necessary.
NO! Ethics dictate that the consultant is paid only by the client, thereby devoting loyalty to the client.
I arrive as early as five hours before the wedding/event depending on the services contracted. I then stay until my services are no longer required. If it is a full service, complete planning then I am there until the Bride and Groom leave for their Honeymoon. If it is a partial service then I leave after my part is done. If it is a Special Event then I am there until my services are no longer needed.
I usually use invoices for bill tracking and contracts for services rendered. I also keep a file on each client.
I do party favors, programs, floral arrangements, etc. My services are also for bridal showers, rehearsals, bridal teas, birthday parties, reunions, graduations, open houses, house warmings, holiday parties, retirements, and baby showers.
